To my readers,
Just wanted to say "Thank You" again for the continued support. I would like to welcome any new readers and say that it is great to hear from someone new. I built this site as a outlet for my animated side of my mind. Fortunately, a majority of my readers are from the islands of Micronesia and I love that I can share my folklores with the rest of the world.
I hope you continue to read the upcoming additions, because I have just completed an important project and am glad or extremely happy to say that I can get back to continuing the story of Sayday and her journey in the darkest times in Micronesia fighting to bring back the light.
Thank you all,
Joy Doves

2010, there is another number instead of zero, another year that has added age and experience and intelligence and strength to all of us. Another battle won, carry your scars proudly because they are what makes you.
Just wanted to touch base and make sure that you all know just how much you are appreciated. I have been quite busy myself this past year, went through some serious battle scars that left me quite tired, worn out, shaken and slightly disoriented but I am back and I hope that I can count on your continued support.
This story will come to an end because what I start I always finish contrary to other's beliefs. This past year made me realize a lot of things that I have never been able to credit myself to. Most people keep bypassing others never fully appreciating their existence and this realization made me see that I was being bypassed alot and that created some serious turmoil within me.
But to the Grace of a Higher Power I am able to pull everything back inside of me and look at it with fresh eyes, willing my mind and finding forgiveness within my heart. I carry pain and memories of last year but I also carry a confidence that I lacked for such a long time and most importantly I carry a message that I will always wear forever in my soul....I do matter.
This would be another story for another time because it snowballs into many other factors in my life but this past year has totally taught me to love myself no matter how much I search for others to love me the most important one is ME.
I want to apologize to everyone for doubting myself because I am a firm believer of "practicing what I preach." I wandered off the beaten path and there I saw the demons of my past and my mind played tricks on me and in my blind quest for love I forgot one important thing....ME.
Lady Saydah is a character I built from the opposite mirror of myself, the stronger version of myself, the gutsy part of me, the one that makes a huge difference, the one that loves herself for who she is.
This year dear Warriors, I have realized that she is not the opposite of me but rather the ME that I have come to find hiding deep within my traumatic life.
Thank you again for the support and I will keep writing and updating and finish this story to print by the summer time.
Kinisou chapur, Menlau Kolaimon, and all of the other thank yous....
Always,
Joy Doves

"A moment, that's all I need," Saydah cautioned herself as she stood knee deep in the Pacific Ocean. The moon was halfway gone and she could make out the outline of the sun. The water was warm for this time of the day and she waded further in. Her mind was occupied with pictures of Madau, his eyes especially.
In her mind she saw a monster yet in her heart she felt a strange tug. He was somehow familiar to her and she couldn't help but wonder what other deep dark secrets Tipitipin kept from her. For the moment she needed to immerse herself in the cooling feel of these salty waters. The last moon beam shone brightly on her smooth brown skin, creating an irridescent almost lizard like color on her firm body.
Her long brown hair draped behind her like a veil and she stood motionless allowing the waves to caress her. She refused to feel anything for the monstrosity that she recently encountered and began devising a plan to get more information from the old man once she got back to the shack.
The night was suddenly still and the coconut leaves on shore made no more than a slight rustle and she felt around the soft sand with her toes. A strange clicking noise was coming from somewhere farther and deeper. She held her breath and dipped her head under the waves and waited...."there!" she gasped as she pulled herself back to the surface.
Click, click, click, the sounds were getting louder and closer and without thinking twice Sayday dove. She swam deeper and deeper following the sounds, her heart pounding lightly against her rib cage. She could not see a damn thing, it was like trying to see through tar so she followed her ears.
Click, click, click, the sounds were suddenly everywhere, something brushed her legs. She turned using her hands to paddle her eyes still not adapting to the thick blackness. She was surprised at how long she was able to hold her breath, she was pretty capable of suspension under water. She could feel more than one presence around her and decided that the smartest thing was to stay still. Her hands still moving to keep her in one spot as she waited...
"Your Highness, what do we owe this visit?" a smooth voice asked from somewhere to her right. She waited for more.
"You may speak my child, we have allowed it," the voice continued soothingly.
Saydah tested it out and opened her mouth, she tasted the salt water but found that that was all she got. "Who are you?" she asked the obvious question.
"There must be a better question," the calming voice replied followed by the clicking sound.
"Who are you?" she asked again this time moving in the direction of where the voice came.
"We are called the Soumas," the voice answered.
"And exactly who are the Soumas?" Saydah asked still trying to see through the darkness.
"Think of us as the Scales, keeping everything in balance," the voice again.
Saydah was getting frustrated with the short answers but was still curious for more information.
"I want to see you," she stated.
"As you wish," the voice answered with no hesitation.
And before she could prepare herself the blackness started to crack. Zig zagging lines appeared going off in different directions and just like glass Saydah heard a soft crack and the blackness shattered into a million pieces. The full impact of what happened threw Saydah completely out of place.
Her eyes quickly adjusted to the change and she looked around her confused. Click, click, click, the sounds were as it was before. She gasped when she realized how close she was to the beings that called themselves The Soumas.
Six misshaped figures floated before her, they were humungous, their heads were weirdly shaped but the rest of their bodies were fish like, more so dolphin. Saydah could see the hairy torso and she followed the outline of the body to the head and almost started screaming when she realized that she was completely off.
The heads were nothing but a mass of hairy tentacles a strange mixture of tube-like dark ropes covered with small canine hair. She couldn't see any eyes or mouth or noses for that matter and she was immediately repulsed.
She saw that they had arms that was also flimsy tube shaped. She kicked her legs and tried to move a little to the surface.
"Do not fear my child, you are safe with us," the one closer to her right spoke causing her to turn her head sharply towards it.
She was facing the strange being with wide eyes now. She watched the bubbles coming out from somewhere in the tangle of hairs/tubes.
"Click, click, we have been waiting for you," the voice said again this time Saydah saw a faint light coming from the torso-fish part of the thing. She noticed that every time it spoke the light flickered.
"What are you talking about?" She finally said as her eyes continued to take in the sights before her.
"You are here because of the other half," the voice said matter-of-factly.
"Soumas, what do you know of Madau?" Saydah asked with more purpose her green eyes flashing.

In the midst of the small battle between the siblings Saydah and Madau, the evil Chenuken sat in his cozy lair watching from his giant magical water bubble. His eye bulged when he lay his eye on Saydah's beautiful face, the fury within her mesmerizing green eyes were just that, mesmerizing.
He sat in silence cleaning his claws, his one eye protruding more as he watched in awe as the two faced each other. He was satisfied with Madau carrying out the beginning of his plan but as he watched Saydah his mind filtered with ideas.
If he could have the twins together then he would be unstoppable, at this early stage of his plan not even Madau had a clue as to how much power he wielded or what his whole purpose in the plan will be. He had simply been told that he was the one that Chenuken can trust and allow to carry out his plan flawlessly.
If Madau knew just how much power he had he would not hesitate to overpower Chenuken and take the realm of the underwater for himself, this Chenuken knew.
Chenuken got out of his throne and paced the length of his ship wreck, his mind working furiously, he needed to figure out a way to have Madau's complete allegiance and lure the lovely Saydah into his world as well . Oh what was he to do?
And as quick as a whip, Chenuken snapped his fingers and floated into the air, his stinger protruding from its socket, acid dripping from the tip as his one eye rolled into his head and back, the veins in his body stretched and pulled, he was in a state of ecstacy.
His humungous wings spread from behind him and he nodded at the magical water bubble. The islands were in a state of panic trying to understand Madau's presence and the chaos that he had unleashed but soon they will discover something even more terrifying and beyond horrifyng.
Madau was not only an amalgamation, Madau was a werewolf.
Laughter erupted from somewhere within Chenuken and floated towards his magic water bubble. He stared at the form of Saydah facing the blasted Tipitipin and he fumed inside thinking back at one of his most regrettable mistakes. Allowing the old man to live decades ago when they were faced to face in battle. He should have sucked the life out of him then and left nothing more than the shell of the obnoxious bastard.
Chenuken fumed as his mind wandered back to those days when he was more erratic and ferocious. He had ran into Tipitipin more than once and he had aimed to eliminate him but it always seemed as the bastard had some sort of invisible force field around him.
"No problem, I will have him this time." Chenuken thought to himself. He was not going to make the same mistake twice and this time he was quite confident that he would not have a problem killing Tipitipin once and for all.
A commotion came from the stern of the shipwreck and send Chenuken whirling around to find Madau standing before him.
"Father, I was unable to kill the girl." Madau said calmly.
Chenuken floated closer and peered at Madau with his huge one eye and his stinger protruded again from his chest, the dripping poison dangerously close to Madau's foot. Chenuken lingered close enough to see through the empty eyes of this abomination, not a pulse of fear coming from him and that helped him to calm down and he finally placed himself on solid ground.
"There has been a change in my plans, I want the girl alive but kill the old man" He directed Madau.
"I will have her here by dawn Father." Madau said confidently.
"Very well then, I will disregard the failure this night and by dawn we will have your sister under my control and the old man terminated." He said.
"And you know how this is going to happen my son?" He asked as he lifted himself off the ground and floated towards his magical water bubble. Images were playing around in the bubble and one could not quite make it out unless they stood close enough.
"Come Madau, let me show you." Chenuken requested of his son.
As Madau approached his father, he noticed that the images were of him but there were more than one of himself. They were torturing and killing the people and it seemed he was in more than one place at a time. "What is this Father?"
"Do you not recognize yourself?" Chenuken asked as though speaking to a mere child.
"I don't understand Father, how am I in all those places at once?" Still confused.
"Well my son, maybe I should have told you sooner but I thought that you might have figured it out on your own, another missed assumption." Chenuken chided.
"You see, everytime you kill anything they turn into you, well not exactly but you have "turned" them into your same species and they can start killing with the same maliciousness as you have displayed." He continued.
"The only difference is that they have completely lost their minds and so they simply kill because they can and there is no conscience or plan just a host of mindless killing monsters."
Chenuken ended with satisfaction in his voice.
Madau still unable to fully grasp the entirety of the story, stood rooted at his spot, his eyes still glued to the magical water bubble.
"And that son, is how we are going to kill the old man and get your sister here. There is more to this story than you realize and soon I will have the whole islands under my control!"
"Mua hahahahahahahaha!!!!" "Hahahahahahahahahaha!!"
Chenuken's laughter shook the ocean's floor as it echoed through the realm of the ocean and penetrating the surface and the calmness of fear on the islands were once again shattered by more fear and the people of Micronesia herded their children indoors and prayed for peace, prayed for refuge and prayed for their lives.... The coconut trees swayed in rhythm with the Pacific winds, creating a melody of sorrow and melancholy a tid-bit of what was to come.
Saydah sat on the stoop of the old man's hut, looking out into the night, her thoughts far from the place she sat. Her long jet black hair lay on her chest as she continued braiding and re-braiding it, her green eyes sharp and alert. She sensed the tension in the air, her ears listened intently as the trees continued to play their soulful rhyme.
"Where is that wretched old man?" she thought to herself angrily as she stood. Her five foot eight frame throwing a shadow alongside the dirt path. As she reached for her walking cane, she heard a rustling of leaves coming from the east section of the old man's plantation. Her beautiful green eyes were keen and she focused her deadly gaze towards the noise.
"Come out now and I will spare you your life." She said through clenched teeth. The rhythm of the night ceased and silence lay thick in the engulfing darkness. Saydah took a cautious step forward and stood ramrod straight her weapon ready for battle.
She snickered and said, "Trust me it will hurt less if you come out willingly."
Before she could say more or take another step a huge monstrosity stepped out, blocking any remaining light. A low growling came from the figure as it stood facing Saydah, its gleaming red eyes penetrating the darkness.
Saydah felt the rage emanating from this thing as it stood in battle stance, awaiting her response. She was suddenly confused, there was something about this thing that seemed eerily familiar to her, she could feel it in her bones. She found herself moving closer, her hand reaching out to the figure. "Who are you?" She asked uncertainly.
A guttural sound came from somewhere deep and evil followed by a laugh. An angry laugh that was mirthless and filled with mockery and intimidation. "You have certainly grown dear girl," the thing said in the most horrific voice that Saydah must have ever heard since she had only heard the old man's voice her whole life.
"I must hand it to that old fool, he certainly had some balls keeping you alive knowing that it was only a matter of time before I would find you." Another wicked laugh. "But I'm afraid you've lived long enough dear sister." And as he said these words he pounced on Saydah pinning her to the ground.
His massive form caught her completely off guard and she lost her concentration for a moment. Just a moment.
As he breathed on her face she still had her walking staff and she hooked it to his knee and twisted it hard, causing him to cry out and for that fraction of a second she pulled her knees up and pushed him off of her with unbelievable ease. Her strength was indeed nothing to laugh about, this baby girl was not just another easy target, Madau had finally met his match, his own twin sister.
Saydah regained her stance and had twirled her staff in the air before catching it behind her back bending low as she faced her brother, the fire within her green eyes were intense and she was furious.
"How dare you!" She screamed as she leaped into the air coming down hard from above with her staff landing right in the middle of Madau's head, he roared with anger as he whirled back and finally charging Sayday with his sharp claws protruding and swishing side to side as he aimed for her flesh.
Saydah moved like a shadow, a movement that was faster than the blink of an eye. She landed a punch in his abdomen followed by a round kick that threw Madau further into the bushes that he had inhabited earlier.
Madau raised his head and howled into the skies as he prepared to tackle Saydah to the ground, drool dripped from his mouth as he faced his sister once more. But before he could do anything more a voice ripped through the commotion. "Enough!"
Old Man Tipitipin walked onto the battleground, his thin silhouette claiming his position in front of the two warring siblings. "You will leave this place Madau!" He addressed the amalgamation with a mere nod of his head.
"Father?" Saydah started, "Who is this? How do you know him?" She finished sounding like the 16 year old that she was.
"Not now child, you will see him again. You will finish this fight, but now we must know what Chenuken's plans are." Old Man Tipitipin said looking towards Madau. "What does your master want with the people of Micronesia?"
The wind picked up and the half moon peek-a-booed through the clouds, playing with masks on Madau's deformed face. He spat on the ground not taking his eyes off of Saydah, the rage within him seething.
"Old Man you ask too many questions, and quite frankly I am in no mood." He replied calmly, his eyes still focused on his sister. "You have trained her well, unfortunately not enough to save her." He laughed again as he turned his head towards the old man.
"My father's plan is none of your business and I am not too keen on you interupting my kill tonight!!" He yelled as he made a swift movement and knocked Tipitipin to the ground.
Saydah rushed him, weilding her staff like a sword. "No!" Tipitipin stood in front of her all of a sudden. He looked deeply into her eyes and she backed down again confused.
"Very well Madau, I will spare your life this night, go to your master and request a meeting of war, I will negotiate the lives of these people." He said quietly.
"You stupid, stupid old man! How dare you even think that my master will stand on the same ground as you and your pathetic herd?" He uttered in disbelief.
"I will go and kill more of your people tonight, you and your little pet I will have your heads!" He stated with fury as he turned and disappeared in a whirlwind of hatred.
The silence enveloped the two lonely figures on that dirt path road near the broken down hut that night. The moon disappeared altogether leaving only the gray clouds and Saydah's confused green eyes as it pierced the old man with pent up rage. (to be continued)

As the evening wears on, the air got chilly and everyone remained silent as they watched Old Man Tipitipin eat ravenously. He ate everything that was placed in front of him, tapioka, bula (taro), breadfruit, smoked fish, dried fish, and oysters, they even gave him epwet (I don't know how to fully describe this dish, except that it's tasty yet stinks.)
He sat in front of the village leaders lost in thought as he ate to his stomach's desire before allowing anyone to interrupt him.
"So old man, where is this thing that is going to swoop in and save us?" The chief asked impatiently.
Crunch, crunch, chew, chew, gulp, gulp. Was the only response coming from Tipitipin, his eyes were slightly unfocused as he waited for his digestive system to calm.
"Look you annoying old..." The chief's words were cut short as the old man's staff came crashing on the dry dirt before him. catching them off guard the chief and the other leaders fell off of their rock perches.
"Tsk, tsk...you never learn do you?" Old Man Tipitipin says. "Ungrateful specks, I may just let you all perish." He said as he wiped himself with his grimey hands and started to stand.
"Old man!!!" The chief yelled, all of a sudden they surrounded Tipitipin, machetes at the ready.
"Now I am only going to ask you one more time." Chief Rengaw said, sweat pouring down his chunky face. "Who is this you speak of and where is it?"
Tipitipin took a small step back, straightening himself, his dark eyes staring at Chief Rengaw with smoldering contempt. And without warning he started laughing.
"Hahaha, my dear Rengaw, I remember you when you were just a young snotty nosed little brat. You carry the arrogance and stupidity of your father. Yes....I remember your father vividly."
Tipitipin moved towards the crowd and everyone took one frightened step back as he took another step towards the now silent chief. He pointed his staff in the chief's face and continued.
"Like your father, you are nothing but a coward. Your father managed to get his entire village killed with the exception of you and your sister. Yes, I remember." He paused.
"When the rival tribe arrived on the shores of your father's village he had everyone stand against them even after I had strongly advised against it. A stubborn man that could not see beyond his own greed. Yes, I remember."
"The villagers were no match, and after he had conveniently stowed you and your sister away he took the entire village to meet their doom. He single-handedly killed everyone in the village." Tipitipin never took his eyes off of the chief.
"You see Rengaw, your father was not only a coward but he was a traitor!" He exclaimed.
"Stop this right now!" Chief Rengaw screamed, pointing towards his henchmen to attack the old man. But with one look from Tipitipin no one dared to move.
They also remembered who Old Man Tipitipin was and used to be. A lethal warrior to the high chiefs.
Without missing a beat, Tipitipin continued with his revelation. "Your father had made a deal with the rivaling tribe that he would give them his village for five blocks of gold and several silver coins."
Chief Rengaw sagged under Tipitipin's gaze, he tried to hold his hands to his ears but found he was unable to move.
"He sacrificed the entire village, the people that raised him and his family, the people that entrusted their lives in his hands. He had them all killed. He thought that since you and your sister had already escaped he had nothing to worry about except his newfound fortune." Tipitipin takes another step closer to Chief Rengaw.
"But....he had made one fatal mistake Rengaw." He paused again as his eyes traveled over the heads of the entire village as he took his last step towards the chief.
"He forgot that I was still alive." And with that a swift movement from Tipitipin, he drove his staff into the chief's torso, blood gushed forth, the chief's eyes bulged in surprise. He tried to speak but all that came out was bubbling blood.
As Tipitipin pulled his staff out of the dying chief he looked at the villagers, challenging everyone with his eyes.
The chief fell to the ground with a heavy "thud!" A woman's cry came from the crowd as they dispersed briefly to allow a young woman forward. She knelt by the body and cried quietly.
"Now," Old Man Tipitipin said. "Let's clean this up and gather all the men at the chief's hut at sun rise. I will be back before then and when I do I want everyone prepared."
"Prepared for what?!" A brave young boy asked, his mother clasping a hand over his mouth.
Tipitipin took a deep breath as he again scanned the crowd before him, a strange look of what seemed like sadness crossed over his once handsome face. The light breeze toussled his graying locks.
"Be prepared to go to war." He said as he turned away and disappeared into the darkness. (to be continued)

I WOULD LIKE TO WELCOME YOU TO MY WEBSITE THAT IS DEDICATED TO SHARING MY COMIC BOOK ABOUT LADY SAYDAH, A NEW HERO COMING FROM THE ISLANDS OF MICRONESIA. A WARRIORESS THAT COMES OUT OF A DECREPIT UPBRINGING, THROWN AWAY FROM HER BIRTH FAMILY AND RAISED BY A STRANGE CHARACTER THAT EVENTUALLY CREATES AN INDESTRUCTABLE AND LETHAL WARRIOR.
THE REASON THAT I STARTED THIS STORY WAS TO SHOW THAT WITHIN THE CONFINES OF THE ISLANDS OF MICRONESIA, AMONG THE CORRUPTION, SUPERSTITIONS AND OPPRESSION THERE WITHIN LIVES HOPE, COURAGE AND THE DESIRE FOR PEACE AND HARMONY, UNITY AND "ONE LOVE". ALTHOUGH THE MAIN CHARACTER IS A WOMAN (NO BIAS ON MY PART) HEHEHE, I WANTED TO WRITE A STORY THAT ENCOMPASSES THE LIFE OF WOMEN THEN AND NOW AND THE WARRIORS THAT LIVE WITHIN ALL OF US, MALE AND FEMALE.
A SMALL COUNTRY MICRONESIA MAY BE, BUT THERE ARE LOUD VOICES, STRONG VOICES AND PROUD VOICES. LADY SAYDAH COULD BE SEEN AS MY "SASHA FIERCE" AS BEYONCE KINDLY PUTS IT AND WITH THAT I LET MY VOICE BE HEARD.
I APPRECIATE ALL THE MEMBERS AND VIEWERS OF MY SITE AND ENJOY READING YOUR COMMENTS AND YOUR SUPPORT. I HAVE DECIDED TO DEDICATE MYSELF TO THE PROCESS OF MAKING THESE LITTLE ISLANDS BE KNOWN TO THE WORLD OH AND WHAT A BIG WORLD THIS IS! JUST BECAUSE IT IS A SMALL DOT ON THE MAP DOES NOT MEAN THAT WE ARE A SMALL PEOPLE AND AS A WRITER HERE IN NEW YORK CITY I PLAN TO BREAK THE STEREOTYPES OF MY COUNTRY AND SCREAM AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS FOR EVERYONE IN THE WORLD THAT STRUGGLES AT THE CHAINS THAT BIND US.
MY FRIENDS, THE WORLD IS MAGNIFICENT, WONDROUS AND YES, HUGE! PEACE AND HARMONY SHOULD NOT BE A DREAM BUT IMMINENT, WE ARE A WORLD OF WARRIORS AND WARRIORESSES CONSTANTLY STRIVING FOR A BETTER WORLD, A BETTER LIFE, A BETTER PEOPLE. I AM BUT ONE WITH A HEART FOR "ONE LOVE". SO I CONTINUE TO WRITE THIS STORY FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT AND CRITICISM IN HOPES THAT WE CAN SEE THROUGH THE EYES OF SAYDAH AS SHE BATTLES FOR HER PLACE IN LIFE AND BRINGS A PEACEFUL VOICE TO HER WORLD.
